What impressed me in Obama was that he not only said that it was a bad idea to go into Iraq. He explained WHY - he laid out a bad scenario, and it turned out exactly as he had foreseen. That clearly shows that he studies and thinks for himself.
We (Denmark) was in Iraq, too, and is still in Afghanistan. To me, the war on Al-qaida is a just war - they declared war, and then they attacked you several times - the embassies, USS Cole, and on 9/11. Al-qaida was headquartered in Afghanistan, and closely allied to the taliban, so you/we had to come after both. And the afghans are actually supportive and happy to be rid of the taliban rule. We cannot afford to loose to the taliban in afghanistan, and I think we should send more troops there. We cannot let the afghan people down now. Every time the taleban recaptures a village, they execute some, who have "cooperated" with the troops - women, who have dropped the burka for a while, for instance.
I was playing "speech bingo," marking off every time Obama said the name "Ted Kennedy."

I sigh every time I hear the "35 years of experience"-line. That's 35 years of being married to Bill, I presume. I'm sure it has been challenging at times, but it doesn't really qualify her. I mean, I think she IS qualified, but why dress something up as something it isn't?
Ulla, respectfully, Mrs. Clinton has done more in her time as a senator than most do in a career. She has not just been "married to Bill". She has demonstrably more experience, even without her years as first lady, than Obama does
That's my point exactly - she has the experience. I even think the white house years are a bonus. But how does it add up to 35?
