Morning Recap

Clinton did in fact take California. Obama won five, Clinton five. The race is very close.

Romney spent over 38 million dollars of his own money and barely holds a lead over Huckabee, who has spent almost nothing. It just goes to show you can buy a lot with money but you can pay someone to like you. The news last night said at one point that Romney had spent over 1 million dollars per delegate.

You're still the guy who changed your mind with every political breeze, Mitt.

Personally, it's been a tough morning already. Not only did I forget to eat dinner last night till late, the wife made me get up this morning to pack the kids lunches. Shuffling half-awake into the kitchen, feeling gross from eating too late at night, what was on the counter but...

Pringles.

I don't think she likes me very much.

so let's say huck does make it to the vp nomination. do you think that helps push some of those straddling the line on over to the dems?

Actually, I do think that helps the Dems, a lot. Anyone who might be blinded by McCain's more "liberal" stance, will look over at Huckabee and know what's really up.

I think that it might help the Dems. Unless the Bush nutjobs start coming out of the woodwork in droves to vote for "The New Bush".

Andrew Sullivan calls the likes of Huckabee "the american taliban". That's exactly right.
Have you noticed, by the way, how the vatican gets along swimmingly with the most fundamentalist islamic states when the talk is of womens reproductive rights etc. in the UN?
