US Marine Motto Revised:

"The Few, The Proud, The Marines."

Stop enticing my kids with visions of shiny swords and fancy uniforms during baseball games. Let's face it, the reality?

"The Few, The Proud, The Dead."

unfortuneatly, they know who and when to target .......

I admire and support our troops.....and THANK them......but lets face it.....we are at war - led by a madman, I might add...there is nothing glamorous about it.

I told you before, we have one 21 year old heading off to Iraq.........which is killing us before he even gets there.

But now, my nephew who is 18 has decided that he wants to be a marine......

Its a feeling of such mixed emotion. Inside I am BURSTING with pride that they would WANT to even do this. I dont have ANY conviction that strong. But then, the thought of it scares the crap out of me and wonders HOW they can brainwash these "kids" to even consider it..........

Honestly, it makes me sick with worry and fear.

And dont get me started on why this "president" is even still in office.

Ok, I think my rant is over.......

Yeah, I can't stand that military come-on, either. Enough already.

Laura, you know, when I was in college, I almost signed up for the reserves.

I think it is an incredibly admirable thing to do. I understand your pride. it is something to be proud of.

We must get out of the damn, ridiculous war.

because we do support our troops.

and stop with the advertising that is aimed at 7 to 10 year olds! like a grown man is going to decide to be a soldier for a shiny sword. it's a damn video game image!
