after reading your post, i can see why you have been saying writing it has been making you sick! i used to be proud to be an american! i don't know anymore. all i can say is, if the mccain should happen to win in november, i might think long and hard about moving 40 miles to the east and end up in canada!

Donald, maybe we'll meet in the Maritimes before I hang that big left and head off for Vancouver. The kids in the Suburban Lesbian House will probably get a better education and be safer and happier in Canadian schools. And they'll be safe from being chewed up in McCain's 100 more years of war.

You can't have it both ways... you don't want to go to war and as a gay or lesbian, you don't have to.
You don't want good law biding men and women to lose their lives in the war, so why not get some good out of the convicted felons who have done nothing to help our country here? I don't have a problem with them.

well, anon, the truth is, I have no desire to serve in the armed forces. lucky for me, I'm too old to be considered.

but there are a lot of people- good, decent people- who do want to serve. why should they be subjected to convicted felons? women on bases over in Iraq are instructed to carry their weapons to the bathroom at night. not because of the threat from the outside but from their male peers.

and as a survivor of incest, I can only say that the image of having a convicted rapist be allowed to serve in the army but not me? is beyond my comprehension. it makes me sick.

no, I do not agree that we should just use convicts to make them useful in some way. it's not fair to the rest of the servicemen and women over there.

they deserve a lot more respect than that.

One thing is true despite what America is doing to itself: I've never seen a better mother than you. Happy Mothers' Day!
