Prop 8 Gets Ugly

Ken Mettler, a Kern High School District trustee and Kern’s “Yes on Proposition 8” campaign leader, kicked and punched a protester Friday night during a dispute over stolen signs.

I suddenly feel like it's time to head to California for the last few days of this fight. it's time to bring in everyone we can, and to take to the streets. It's no longer about money- it's about bodies being there.

I cannot believe a high school trustee would kick someone but there it is on tape.

Pam Spaulding has a link to a phonecam movie that was just as scary.

What's the best revenge? An untroubled mind, firmness in nonviolence, and victory.

Someone found out the Mormons were making a bunch of pro-8 calls from Utah. The Mormons shut the operation down. So the last messsage California voters hear really will be ours.

i just fired off an email to my nephew and his wife who live in san diego, who i know support us on this issue, telling them that they need to get out and talk with their friends and neighbors to make sure that this propostion doesn't get passed. hope they can make a difference.
