You look good, but red capris might have been more, um, visible.

I was once in a photoshoot with a number of women activists and the art director asked all the lesbians to wear purple, so nobody would confuse us with hetero women.

my purple shirt was at the dry cleaners... it was a fun photo shoot but I ahve to say, after a half hour of picture taking, I'm surprised he picked the one where my eyes are shut! friends, however, have said it really captures me. I am often laughing about something...

Ms. Whitman -- How could I have not known that a kindred spirt lives in Auburndale -- cozy in the Cove but restless for more good and just happenings in the wider World? Congrats on your family, work, and career. We're lucky to have you in Auburndale. Long ago, my Former Favorite Blog -- Bitch Ph.D. -- went kapoot. So now I Iook forward to tuning into your site for entertainment and inspiration. No pressure: but I have an insatiable appetite for entertainment and inspiration. So bring it on! I'm glad this strange and glitzy Newton Living magazine hit my mailbox. Without it, I would't have known about the gem that is you and your family! Happy Thanksgiving and warm regards, Fellow Auburndale Mama

Amazing and wonderful! In every way...that you live your life as a mother and lesbian out loud. In my day, it seemed hiding was the only option available (unless you were a rich, British aristocrat and could house your girlfriend in the manor and be known as "dear friends.")
Hiding exacts a terrible price...and bill is still coming in. But thankfully, there are lesbian mothers like you and writer Emma Donoghue who are right out there. And guess what? The sky has not fallen!!! God bless and Happy Thanksgiving! Keep on letting your light shine.

Actually, the second "Anonymous" is indeed me. Just when I think I'm getting somewhere, the closet door opens and the long hand tries to yank me back in. But nuts to that noise.....

Hey, first time to your blog, I found you on one of 'Letting Go' blogrolls. Had no idea that I was going to read someone local!
