Just be glad he wasn't cooking for you! When I was about his age, I decided to make breakfast in bed for mom. I made an omelette. With carrots.
Just eggs - not really cooked as much as congealed on the edges - and no milk or anything to actually, scramble them with. Just eggs. And raw - huge chunks of carrot.
She ate it with a smile on her face too. She also mentions it every chance she's able now! LOL
your mother should be enshrined... and she deserves a tiara!!
When I was a kid I loved peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches. In retrospect, I think I loved it most because it grossed out my brothers so much ....
