Sounds like their VA care is a nightmare. My father-in-law and partner are both vets (staunch dems though) and they most definitely are against the draft. Joining should be your own choice (and in the case of my SO, it largely paid for her college education). I will be trying to keep up with both conventions very closely but here in Europe coverage is spotty at most. Given the current Russia/Nato/South Ossetia issue and the way that is playing out, we in Europe are very interested to know who will be in the driver's seat in the US.; 2:11 AM
Sue J said...: I'm not so sure that he's saying he supports the draft in this video. I think he was just trying to get out of answering her tough questions. But his real position on the draft seems to shift with the wind, so I wouldn't trust him for a minute on it. (Or on any other topic, for that matter.); 8:43 PM
