Happy Halloween

I missed Halloween.

Heavy sigh.

I have been known to get requests from neighborhood parents in regard to my costume choice. I really like Halloween.

But today I was driving all over Fremont, California checking out polling stations, deciding which ones would be better for visibility, sign holders. It was a long day and now I have to type up my notes.

I miss my kids. I miss my wife.

And for my outrage of the day? The DNC did NOT give any money to the No on 8 campaign. None. Nada. Zip.

Makes you wonder if they are more concerned with distancing themselves from us queers than justice and equality. Personally, I'm sick of it.

You want distance, try this:

The opening question a local TV station asked both the candidates in the "debate" for this Congressional distict (Alabama 5th) was "How can you reconcile the tone of this campaign with your Christianity?"

Our choice is between Parker Griffith (an anti-choice, anti-LGBT blue dog Democrat who attends the Church of the Nazarene and is running away from Obama) and a Republican, Wayne Parker, who's even worse.

Why did our ancestors fight to bring these assholes back?

I thought that would cheer you right up. Keep on fighting for the America I still believe in.

The only reason I haven't written a poem and left my entrails in a neat pile in the garden is that I haven't seen a single yard sign for a Republican candidate that uses the word "Republican" or the elephant symbol.

Rev. Bob now that you mention that around here same thing hmmm interesting. I live in a rural area and there are alot of Mcain/Palin signs up but I think I figured out why. They are mostly focusing on Obamas gun control stance, not the economy, not the war which a large part of our young adults are in the armed forces but gun control laws that would restrict them. i guess to each his own priorities.
